This year, young guests at London Magical Tours have been getting creative and taking part in our annual children’s art competition. Among these is the Create Your Own Royal Flag competition, where children are asked to design their own royal flag – the more individual and unique the better!

Getting Creative with Royal Flags

Children taking part on our VIP tour programmes receive activity sheets, colouring pages, pencils and interactive challenges throughout their private tour. With support from a specialist children’s guide, they can learn about London while staying involved along the way.

For this year’s competition, children were invited to design their own royal flag. We’ve enjoyed seeing the different ideas and designs they have created, with every entry bringing something different to the competition.

The Children’s Programme is available for children aged 10 years and under.

More for Children to Enjoy

The royal flag competition is one of the activities available through our family friendly London tours. Children can also take part in our annual code-cracking competition, giving them another challenge to look forward to during their visit.

Winners of both competitions will be announced at the end of the year, with prizes awarded for the most creative artwork and the fastest code cracker.

Every year, London Magical Tours offers young visitors the opportunity to participate in their annual Children’s Art Competition, a fun and entertaining way for kids to share their best London memories.

Blessings from Her Majesty

London Magical Tours

We are delighted to share a lovely letter that our director Ana Cartland recently received from Her Majesty The Queen in response to the wonderful works of art made by the young visitors on our tours during 2016.

Earlier this year Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 90th birthday and London Magical Tours helped mark the special occasion by showing Her Majesty some of the many wonderful examples of art work made on our London tours for children.

Our expert team of family friendly guides love to interact with young visitors, not just teaching them about the history of London and England but also making it a fun and memorable experience. Our specialist children’s program focuses on the use of art and colour to help with learning – many wonderful examples are frequently published on the blog.

Get your face paint and fancy dress on – Halloween in London is easily one of the best nights out for kids and adults alike. There are loads of great things to do from:

– Picking your own pumpkin and carving it into a scary face down at Strawberry Farm

– Exploring the witches den and creating your own potions in Hyde Park’s Education Centre at the family-friendly open day.

– Getting make up tips so that you can perfect your ‘scary face’ at the London Dungeon.

Bonfire Night 2016: Saturday 5th November

Bonfire night, otherwise known as “Fireworks Night” or “Guy Fawkes Night”, is the anniversary of the 5th November 1605, when Guy Fawkes’ plot to blow up the House of Parliament came to a spectacular end. In London and throughout the UK, we celebrate the occasion by lighting the night with spectacular firework displays!
